The fair BRICASCIENCES
STORY
The Antiques and Scientific Curiosities Fair was held for more than twenty years in Orsay. This event, which brought together professionals, collectors and simple visitors, was a definite success before being suspended. At the initiative of a few passionate collectors, it was decided to resume this event with the desire to highlight these magnificent objects, to revive a market which is deteriorating and to encourage new collectors’ vocations. The first edition in 2014 welcomed a great panel of international exhibitors but the test remained to be confirmed. For this, a rejuvenated concept with a new name Bricasciences, better communication and a broader target group bringing together not only collectors and potential buyers but also simple visitors with activities and an exhibition, all this in the service of the “wonders of science”
Our objectives
The Exhibition of Antiques and Scientific Curiosities, BRICASCIENCES, celebrates the history of science, technology and discovery. This show offers a unique platform where enthusiasts, collectors and the curious can discover and explore a vast range of ancient objects, scientific curiosities and historical relics.
Here is a general overview of what you can expect to find at the BRICASCIENCES Show:
Scientific Antiques: You will discover an impressive selection of ancient scientific objects, such as measuring instruments, telescopes, microscopes, globes, astrolabes, and much more. You will also see medical instruments, books and rare documents. These pieces offer a valuable insight into the evolution of science over the centuries.
Technological Curiosities: Visitors will have the opportunity to see historical technological curiosities, from early electronic devices to complex mechanical machines. These pieces reflect the ingenuity and innovation of different eras of human history: In addition to exhibitions, the BRICASCIENCES Salon also offers conferences, debates and workshops led by experts in the field. These sessions provide visitors with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of specific science and technology topics.
Demonstrations and activities: several exhibitors offer activities, presentation of objects in operation, experiments, etc. They are keen to share their passion and knowledge with you.
Acquisition Opportunities: For collectors and enthusiasts, the BRICASCIENCES Show offers an excellent opportunity to acquire unique and authentic pieces to enrich their personal collection or decor.
The Exhibition of Antiquities and Scientific Curiosities, BRICASCIENCES, is an unmissable event for all those interested in the history of science, technology and discovery. 2024 Edition
The 2024 edition will be the tenth edition and we hope that the event will live up to this anniversary by bringing together more exhibitors and numerous activities.
